Rump's Butcher Shoppe Joins the Ranch Brand Family

Rump's Butcher Shoppe in Altoona is now part of Ranch Brand Meat Company. If you've been shopping at 1411 Lynn Avenue for years, keep coming. The doors are open and the counter is staffed.

Here's what changes. Ranch Brand beef is coming to the counter at Rump's, and it comes from the same place as every other cut we sell: cattle raised on our ranches, processed at our plant in Almena, delivered to our counters. Nothing in between. The snack sticks, brats, and Black Label steaks you'd find at our other stores will be here too.

Here's what doesn't change. Rump's has been an Altoona neighborhood shop for a long time, and we bought it because that's worth keeping. Same crew behind the counter. Same hours for now.

We'll be doing a proper grand reopening down there this fall. Watch this page for the date. Until then, stop in, say hello, and tell us what you want to see in the case.
