Volume One Tells the Ranch Brand Story

Volume One stopped by The Barn this spring to write about Ranch Brand Meat Company and the two families behind it. Evelyn Nelson sat down with Charlotte and Jake for the Meat! guide, and Andrea Paulseth shot the photos.

The piece covers how we got here: the Antczaks' first shop in Chetek, the partnership with Rooney Angus in 2024, and buying Almena Meat Company so we control processing ourselves. The short version is one we say often. No middlemen, no question marks about where your beef comes from.

It also gives a nod to the restaurants around the Valley serving our steaks, including Johnny's Italian Steakhouse, Cowboy Jack's, and The Wissota Lodge. If you haven't tried Ranch Brand at one of them yet, that's a good excuse.
