Ranch Brand Meat Co. · Now Hiring

Marketing &
Content Manager

Full-time, salaried·Chippewa Valley, WI·In person or hybrid

From the Founder

Ranch Brand is two and a half years old and moving fast. We raise the cattle, we run the processing plant, we own the stores. Pasture to counter, nobody else in the chain. Four retail locations across the Chippewa Valley, a wholesale program, and an online store shipping beef to people who can't drive to us.

Here's the honest version of why this job exists. Our marketing has been done by whoever had time that week. That's me, Amanda, and Charlotte, in the gaps between running stores and a plant. The product is good enough that we've grown anyway. It deserves better than that, and so do the people trying to find us.

We're not hiring someone to post pretty pictures. We're hiring someone to own the whole loop: the offer, the ad, the landing page, the organic content, the reviews, the conversion. One person who sees the entire system and makes it work. You'll have the budget, the access, and the room to run it. If that sounds like a lot, it is. It's also the kind of job you don't get at a company that already has it figured out.

What You'll Own

In order of priority.

  1. ContentYou'll shoot, edit, write, and publish. Short-form video is the engine: Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, fed from one production effort. YouTube is the long-form home you'll build in the first six months. Other platforms earn their place after that. Store counters, the plant, the pasture, the kitchen. Real people, real product, our voice. The words matter as much as the footage: captions, product copy, ad copy, emails. You'll build the static pieces too, in Canva or Adobe, for ads and in-store signage. Weekly cadence, not when-we-get-to-it. This is the biggest piece of the job and the one we'll judge first.
  2. Paid mediaMeta and Google for four stores and a growing online channel. You set the budgets, build the creative, read the numbers, and cut what doesn't work. The spend is yours to manage. We'll agree on the ceiling and the return we expect, then get out of your way.
  3. The full loopOffer to ad to landing page to purchase to review. You design it, run it, and tighten it every month. Email and SMS is yours end to end: capture in every store, the list, and what gets sent to it.
  4. The digital footprintOnline storefront presentation (photos, copy, collections, landing pages), Google Business profiles, social pages, review responses. Everything a customer sees before they walk in or click buy. Catalog data and inventory stay with operations.
  5. The playbookWe're a systems company. As you learn what works, you document it so store five and six start with a head start instead of a blank page.

Print and in-store signage, wholesale sales support, and community events fall to you when they come up. They're not the job, but they're not someone else's either.

What's Already Here

Less than you'd hope, and we'd rather tell you that now. Meta Business Manager and Google Ads are set up and governed, and we've run a little through both. We've done a few direct mail drops, one at a time, none of them routine. There's a content calendar with five pillars and not enough content in it. Brand standards exist. The stores and the online channel both run on Shopify. What's missing is the person who turns a pile of accounts and good intentions into a system.

Your First 90 Days

Weeks 1 to 4

Learn the product, the stores, the customers. Shoot everything. Audit what we've been doing and tell us what's broken. We'll agree on your 6 and 12 month targets together by day 30.

Weeks 5 to 8

Take over paid spend. Launch a content calendar you can actually sustain. Get email and SMS capture live in every store.

Weeks 9 to 12

Run your first full campaign, offer to conversion, and show us the numbers. Deliver a marketing plan for growing the online channel.

What Success Looks Like

6 months

Content is consistent across every channel and you can show what it's doing. Paid ads return more than they cost, and there's a report that proves it every month. Store managers know what's coming and when.

12 months

Same-store sales are up and marketing is a measurable reason why. The online store is growing on a plan you built, and you've brought in a real cohort of shipping customers who came back. The playbook exists and someone else could follow it.

3 years

Ranch Brand is the beef brand people in Wisconsin think of first. You built the marketing function from one person into whatever it needed to become, and you're leading it.

The Person We're Looking For

You've run marketing for a real brand with a real budget. You can pick up a camera and come back with something usable. You've spent someone else's money on Meta ads and can talk about what you learned when it didn't work.

You understand that marketing is a system, not a feed. You think in loops, not posts. You read a dashboard and change something because of it.

You don't need a brief for everything. Hand you a project, you'll figure out the pieces, ask good questions once, and bring it back done. You'd rather build a process than repeat a task.

Shopify experience is a plus. Food, agriculture, or retail background is a plus. You need to be in the Chippewa Valley or close to it, because the content lives in our stores, our plant, and our pasture, and it gets shot every week. Hybrid works. Fully remote doesn't.

What we're not looking for: someone who needs a team under them to get things done, or a strategist who doesn't want to make the thing.
